The state says they sent me a notice that I needed to provide proof of sr22. Now my license is suspended. Help?
Received a speeding ticket in 2005. I paid it. In 2008 while trying to renew my license I was told I had a Failure To Appear. I contacted the judge in Borden county and paid the ticket again. The paperwork was not filed properly to clear the failure to appear. While trying to get that resolved I went to see my father in December 08 and got a ticket for driving on a suspended license. I paid that, plus the surcharge. Today I went to get my license renewed and was informed that I failed to provide proof of SR22 insurance and my license is now suspended until 2011. The state says I was mailed something around the time I received the surcharge notification. I would have taken care of it had I known about it, but I did not receive anything regarding an SR22. Is there anything I can do to fight this?
