Is there any grace period for vehicle inspection in Pennsylvania. If so, please state laws or anything to verify.

We got a ticket for being 5 days past inspection date. We thought we had a 30 day grace period. Gotta fight it now at the District Magistrate. So, if anyone can help me, please post laws or anything we can use to verify our position. ONLY FOR PENNSYLVANIA

As an official PA safety inspector, I can honestly tell you that there is only a 5 day grace period for lapsed PA State Safety Inspection Certificates. So in essence, you have 3 months + 5 days to get your car in compliance i.e.an inspection can be done 2 months prior to the month due showing on the sticker that is on the windshield plus the 5 day grace period. Should be enough time in anyones life to get it done. Unfortunately for you, there is no defense, unless you were out of the state on active military duty,. Sorry.
