Does having a speeding ticket on your record count as having been convicted as a crime in NC? 

Additional Details

Over a year ago I was pulled over for speeding. It was reduced to 9 over, as the county did not do improper equipment.

I am filling out an application to a college program, where it asks if I have ever been convicted of a crime. Does my speeding ticket count?

No, most moving violations are not considered a crime, but infractions. Crime is usually refering to misdemeanors and felonies( i think the spelling is right ) But being the school is asking you, i would ask somebody there just make to be 100% sure.
