If my car is past inspection and has expired tags, which must I renew first?
car is registered in nc, need inspection and is past due. I need to both renew tags and get inspected as they are both recently expired. Which must I do first? If the car gets inspected will it pass with expired tags? Can I get new tags without recent inspection?

According to the laws now you must have it inspected first then take that in to have your tags renewed.
