how do you fight a ticket for merging from middle lane into traffic?
I was pulled over today at the end of the month - the cop just needed to meet his quota - fir trying to mearge from a middle lane into traffic. I had clearance wehn I moved out but then the driver would nto let me in so insteadof stoppoiung and waiting, i drove safely down the middle lane and when i WENT TO MERGE, HE PULLED ME OVER and was a real xxxx about it claiming I was being unsafe and I sadi what about teh driver that would not let me in playing games?

You are not supposed to merge from the middle lane into traffic; it is a turn only lane; so you might not be able to fight the ticket---Please read below

"The lane is bordered on either side by

two yellow lines - the inner line is broken or

dashed, the outer line is solid. Pavement

marking arrows may or may not be present.

This lane is for the exclusive use of left turning

vehicles and may be used by drivers making

a left turn in either direction into driveways and

minor roads. It should not be used for passing

or travel by a driver except to

make a left turn. This lane may

not be used to pass other vehicles

and get to the intersection that is

several hundred feet away. The

use of this lane is restricted to 200

to 300 feet to decelerate, wait and make your

left turns. This lane is provided to remove

left-turning vehicles from the through lanes

and store those vehicles in the median area

until an acceptable gap in opposing traffic is

available."
