Will my speeding tickets from Delaware and North Carolina affect my NY state driver license points?
I was on my way down to Myrtle beach on tuesday and I got stopped in Delaware and got a ticket for going 65 in a 55, on the way back to New York on saturday, I was stopped in North Carolina and got a ticket for going 80 in a 70, two days later on my way to school in Albany I got a speeding ticket for 80 in a 65, I already have 6 points on my license from last summer for speeding in a construction zone, and I was wondering on how many points I'm looking at, and if the out of state tickets will be held against me? I'm also wondering how long points stay on your license for?

I have done many NYS license checks and tickets from other states do not show up on these reports.
Why dont you try slowing down it probably cost you more time getting the ticket than it would have if you were going slower.

Now, insurance companies can run other state reports that may reveal your tickets when you go to apply for car insurance, dont ask dont tell. MARK

The answer that was given is correct New York will not find out but do it soon because Mayor Bloomberg just announced that he will allocate funds to finally update NY system to look up people with out of states plates and licenses. Which should have been done years ago.
