Can I still drive to and from school with just a permit?
I just got my permit and I'm 16. I live 15 minutes away driving distance from my school. There is no way for me to get a ride there because my parents are away looking for work and my legal guardian is at school.

in rhode island which is also true for most states , you can only drive a car with a permit if there is a licenced driver who is also over the age of 21,& u will risk losing your ability to obtain a valid license until you are 21yrs old if these 2 criteria arent met if u are pulled over ,dont risk it , its not worth it
