Minnesota Statue 168.017, Outside the 10 day grace period....

Additional Details

Per Minnesota Statue 168.017 Subd 2.12 “There are established 12 registration periods, each to be designated by a calendar month and to start on the first day of such month and end on the last day of the 12th month from the date of commencing.” i.e. if your tabs expired December 2008 and you registered January 15th, your coverage was continuous. December 2008 by last years tabs and 01 January 09 to 31 Dec 09 by this years tabs. The 10 day grace period only comes into play if your driving your vehicle without registration. Would anyone disagree? Agree? Why is Amy Klobuchar only using the 10 day grace period?

Thanks,
