How long will it take to get my car's title from the DMV?

My loan company states that they electronically transmitted my title to the DMV and that I just need to go down to the DMV and get it. This sounds a little too easy for anything involving the DMV. I'm wondering what is really involved and how long will it take? I am using my car as a trade-in and I assume I need to provide the dealership with the title.

I have just paid my car off, so you should contact the DMV where you live. Ask them. You will receive your lien card in the mail (about 2-3 wks after the car is paid off). Keep it and DO NOT destroy it! The part about electronically sending the title does sound weird (I have always had green paper copies). Hope this helps.Casey
