Can I drive my car with a Rejection Sticker?

I want to drive my car, it's been about a week since it failed inspection. Reverse lights don't work. Can I drive it legally or not?

That's not true!  In MA, if you fail emissions, you have 60 days to fix the problem.  In those 60 days you are free to drive the car as you please.  If you fail for safety (ex. brake lights, reverse lights, tires, rust, etc.) you are required to remove the car from the road IMMEDIATELY.  You then have 60 days to fix the problem and reinspect the vehicle before MA assumes you are just driving it and suspends your registration. The place that gave you a rejection sticker should have explained this to you.

Yes, you can but you only have about 60 days or less? Depends on your where you live? Anyhow, you should get that problem fix before it's too late and if you do decided to get it fix. They expect you to drive it around for about a week or so with the new parts before you can go back and run a new inspection test! So if it is expired by that time then you'll most likely have to pay for another rejection sticker while you drive around for about a week with your new parts. That's up to you!
