how long is the grace period between purchasing a car and needing proof of insurance in the state of IL???

i purchased my vehicle on saturday, my insurance department is not open until monday. do i have a grace period?

Normally when a vehicle is purchased from a dealer, there is an Insurance company on the dealership's property that will sell you a 5-10 day Insurance rider. It will cover your car until you contact your Insurance Co, or find you a new one.
