I have a FL drivers license, I have never had any tickets or violations. I am 30 years old. I got a speeding ticket in TX for 20 mph over. Should I just pay the ticket?

My goal is to get TX to drop it down to 14 mph over so I get less points on my FL license. How do I do this?

Do I contact my car insurance company or will they find out on their own? I am curious because I read on your site that if I take a drivers ed course then I can try to avoid a rate increase.
