Deposits, How long should a well reputated used car dealership hold a vehicle, I am waiting for check by mail? 

Additional Details

Gave $500 deposit on vehicle. Made clear to dealership how much I was planning on putting down, where it was coming from, my steps taken to obtain 1/2 down, Dealership has contacted us afterwards, non refundable deposit, getting worried dealership will put vehicle back to stock a day or two before I can get the down payment. Dealership has allready gaurenteed me of financing they have put vehicle to sold status. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
