I want to buy a car on the East Coast, drive it across the country and sell it in California. How do I do this?
What do I need in terms of insurance? Can I buy temporary (monthly) insurance? How quickly can I make this happen (assuming I have found a car to buy)? How much paperwork/money is involved in registering a car with out-of-state plates & paperwork in California?

Thanks.

Find the cheapest insurance, theres usually some raunchy ones near the dmv and apply for it. Get proof of insurance (all of ur insurance papers) and go register the car in your name. Then your free to sell the car (legally). And it doesn't matter if its out of state. If you bought it you bought it, registering it is like $200 or more tho and insurance may set you back at the most (of you get the xxxx kind) like no more than $100.
