Do you need to pay for new tags if you buy a used car even if the existing tag is good until 2010?
I just renewed my registration and have the new sticker valid until July 2010. If I sell my car, does the new registration and sticker become obsolete? Or would this save the new owner some money? Do they still have to pay the full registration fee and get a new sticker? I want to know because if it's worthless to the new owner anyway, I'll go to the DMV and get a refund (I didn't put the sticker on the car yet) before I sell the car. Thanks for the advice!

If you can post a non operation before the due date of your registration, you might able to get the refund from DMV. Once it pass the due date it is non refundable and it goes with the vehicle to new buyer.
