I have had a disabled hang tag for 2 years and my physician has given me a permanent qualification to renew to a tag. I have always parked in our city's lot downtown for no meter cost with the tag. As of today our city is ticketing handicapped driver's autos if they do not park in one of the 2 handicap spaces in the block parking lot. I have to park within 100'of my office, in this lot, as I cannot walk further. The city states that there is 'no ordinance against it' (the ticketing) can they do this? is there a fed, state or county regulation in favor of the handipcapped parking?
